Rear/passenger wheel cylinder finally arrived, so we were able to finish off the brakes

We moved onto the fuel pump.  Brass adapters installed.

New fuel lines (re)installed (fuel pump to fuel filter)

This Permatex aviation sealant is, far 'n away, the best sealant for fuel lines

We filled the radiator, in preparation for firing up the engine.

With the car firing up & running, it was a GREAT weekend!

Starter, overflow tank, brake job, wheel cylinders, fuel pump removal...

 

New battery hold down/heat shield after fresh paint

New starter installed

Carter AFB carb. re-installed with new/correct gaskets

Accelerator linkage re-attached

Overflow tank reinstalled w/new hoses

Preparing for new cork valve cover gaskets

We cleaned up the aluminum valve covers

Getting ready to install new spark plugs/double checked gaps

Installed a new GF-90 fuel filter

Fuel filter installed, fuel lines being reattached

Laid out the new brake drums/brake kits/wheel cylinders for all 4 wheels...

The heater hose "T" was a bit rusty. Cleaned it up in preparation for the overflow tank install...

This is an extra overflow tank we had.  We'll use this one, instead of the older replacement.

Old battery tray vs. the new one

The battery tray cover/heat shield is supposed to be semi-gloss black.  Frustrating that they sent it to me in raw metal.  Grrrrr.

I primed it today.  I'll paint it tomorrow and get it installed.  That needs to go in prior to the overflow tank.
