Rear suspension installation complete

 

New struts installed onto new strut bracket

Left & right Shock Shafts installed

Left & right Halfshafts & U-joints installed

Rear Leafspring cushion retainers installed into new leafspring

"Peening over" the retainer cups into the leafspring

Rear Leafspring installed with new rubber cushions

New rear Leafspring plate installed

New rear Shock Absorbers installed.  Rear Suspension update complete!

New Trailing arms installed

Rear Suspension; removal of the old parts...

 

Time to remove the old leaf spring

Leaf spring is out!

Removing old strut bracket

Shocks, struts, strut bracket and leaf spring removed.

Need to remove all the new brake components, in order to replace the trailing arms.

I did the passenger side, Jerry did the driver side.

Wheel cylinders removed.

Removing the old trailing arms

They were stubborn!  Very rusted.

Trailing arms removed and half shafts removed.  All rear suspension components are out!

Wash & Wax...

 

Bath time!

Gave it a good waxing...

The bumpers had a lot of pitting on the chrome

We got them looking nice!

Shiny bumper!

Ops test, tail light fix, tire tub, brake adjustments, test drive...

 

Rear brake lights worked, but no tail lights when the headlights were on.  We replaced all 4 rear bulbs.

Got 'em working!

Also had to replace a few fuses...

Got the tire tub reinstalled.

Made some minor brake adjustments...

We had a hawk join some ducks in the swimming pool.  : )

We removed all 4 wheels (in preparation for new tire install this week)

We "judged" Operations on Vette Jai.
