Wash & Wax...

 

Bath time!

Gave it a good waxing...

The bumpers had a lot of pitting on the chrome

We got them looking nice!

Shiny bumper!

Ops test, tail light fix, tire tub, brake adjustments, test drive...

 

Rear brake lights worked, but no tail lights when the headlights were on.  We replaced all 4 rear bulbs.

Got 'em working!

Also had to replace a few fuses...

Got the tire tub reinstalled.

Made some minor brake adjustments...

We had a hawk join some ducks in the swimming pool.  : )

We removed all 4 wheels (in preparation for new tire install this week)

We "judged" Operations on Vette Jai.

Front parking brake & exhaust...

 

We removed the old parking brake handle, shaft & front cable...

It had some red overspray on it (from a previous interior restoration).  We repainted the bracket the correct semi-gloss black.

The old "pawls" were worn - replaced those.

Now they ratchet properly.

Onto exhuast...

Removed the old (stuck) exhaust heat riser

The exhaust bracket at the transmission was replaced with a new one.

Finished it off with new exhaust tips

It's running & moving...

 

"Houston, we have liftoff..."

 

Rear/passenger wheel cylinder finally arrived, so we were able to finish off the brakes

We moved onto the fuel pump.  Brass adapters installed.

New fuel lines (re)installed (fuel pump to fuel filter)

This Permatex aviation sealant is, far 'n away, the best sealant for fuel lines

We filled the radiator, in preparation for firing up the engine.

With the car firing up & running, it was a GREAT weekend!
